National Crime Victims’ Right Week 2018

Join NOVA in honoring and celebrating victim advocates and expanding the reach of support and service.


Since 1981, the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) has promoted and advanced awareness of victims’ rights each year during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW).  This year, NOVA invites victim advocates, crisis responders, allied professionals, survivors and communities around the world to join us in our annual observation of NCVRW.

Throughout the week of April 8-14, 2018, NOVA will host all of the following events designed to unite and inspire communities in our ongoing march for victims’ rights.

Advocate Awards

When: Awardees Announced Monday April 9th

NOVA will be awarding Exceptional Individual or Organization Who is Making a Difference in Victim Advocacy! We wish to recognize extraordinary accomplishments of individuals and programs in the victims’ movement.  We will announce awardess during NCVRW and awardees will be honored at the NOVA 44th Annual Training Event by the NOVA Board of Directors.

Virtual 5k Walk

When: Friday April 13th & Saturday April 14th, All Day

Get active and support NOVA’s Crisis Response Program!

Join victim advocates, allied professionals and survivors around the world by participating in NOVA’s First-Ever NCVRW 5K Virtual Walk/Run!  You can sign-up as an individual or organize a group within your community. There is no time or location limitation! People across the country and around the world will gather in their own communities and walk, run, or bike to raise awareness and engage communities to promote and enforce victims’ rights.
