How do I apply for D-SAACP Certification?

  • Forms and Instructions can be found on the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPR) website: www.sapr.mil
  • ***Please follow this link  for the updated D-SAACP application FAQs, 9/2017 version.***
  • Download the DD Form 2950:
    For new applicants: DD Form 2950 (updated March 2015)
    For renewal applicants: DD Form 2950-1 (updated March 2015)

To submit an application:

    • Via email: dsaacp@trynova.org 
    • Via fax: 703-535-5500
    • Via mail: 510 King Street, Ste 424, Alexandria, VA 22314

****Please note the November 2017 D-SAACP Review Board is convening on 27, 28 and 29 November. All notifications will be sent 30 November 2017. Applicants who expire 30 November will be renewed on the 27th, 28th and 29th, thus continuing their credentials and no lapses will occur for applicants who were pending review for the November 2017 board.**** 

On the new forms:

  • New SAPR-VA applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 10: Statement of Understanding signed by your supervisor and commander
    • Page 11: SARC recommendation letter
    • Page 12: Supervisor recommendation letter (at least E7, GS9, O3, W2)
    • Initial Victim Advocacy training certificate (within the past 2 years)
  • New SARC applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 12: Supervisor recommendation letter (at least E7, GS9, O3, W2)
    • Page 13: Commanding Officer/Senior supervisor recommendation letter (O6, GS15 or above)
    • Initial Victim Advocacy training certificate (within the past 2 years)
  • Renewal SAPR-VA applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 10: Statement of Understanding signed by your supervisor and commander

You will receive an email notification confirming receipt of your application within one week of your submission. If you do not receive a confirmation email in that timeframe, please contact us.

How do I correct my incomplete application?

• Applicants who submit incomplete and/or invalid applications will be notified via email regarding their status. Please reply promptly to DSAACP-Followup@trynova.org  with you corrected documents.

 

DoD SAPRO Expiration Standards, revised 14 September 2017

  • If applicant has missed 1-3 deadlines, submit the Renewal application DD Form 2950-1 and 32 CEUs.
  • If the applicant has missed 4 or more deadlines, submit Renewal application DD Form 2950-1 AND the initial SAPR training taken within the past year.
