How do I apply for D-SAACP Certification?

  • Forms and Instructions can be found on the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPR) website: www.sapr.mil
  • Download the DD Form 2950:
    For new applicants: DD Form 2950 (updated March 2015)
    For renewal applicants: DD Form 2950-1 (updated March 2015)
    We will be continuing to accept the old versions of the DD Form 2950 through 30 April, 2015.

To submit an application:

    • Via email: dsaacp@trynova.org 
    • Via fax: 703-535-5500
    • Via mail: 510 King Street, Ste 424, Alexandria, VA 22314

On the new forms:

  • New SAPR-VA applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 10: Statement of Understanding signed by your supervisor and commander
    • Page 11: SARC recommendation letter
    • Page 12: Supervisor recommendation letter (at least E7, GS9, O23, W2)
    • Initial Victim Advocacy training certificate
  • New SARC applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 12: Supervisor recommendation letter (at least E7, GS9, O3, W2)
    • Page 13: Commanding Officer/Senior supervisor recommendation letter (O6, GS15 or above)
    • Initial Victim Advocacy training certificate
  • Renewal SAPR-VA applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 10: Statement of Understanding signed by your supervisor and commander
    • Page 11: SARC recommendation letter
    • Page 12: Supervisor recommendation letter (at least E7, GS9, O23, W2)
    • Pages 14-15 or other documentation of 32 hours of Victim Advocacy continuing education.
  • Renewal SARC applicants must submit:
    • Page 3: Applicant Information
    • Page 5: Signed Code of Ethics
    • Page 12: Supervisor recommendation letter (at least E7, GS9, O3, W2)
    • Page 13: Commanding Officer/Senior supervisor recommendation letter (O6, GS15 or above)
    • Pages 14-15 or other documentation of 32 hours of Victim Advocacy continuing education.

You will receive an email notification confirming receipt of your application within one week of your submission. If you do not receive a confirmation email in that timeframe, please contact us.

How do I correct my incomplete application?

• Applicants who submit incomplete and/or invalid applications will be notified via email regarding their status. Please reply promptly to DSAACP-Followup@trynova.org  with you corrected documents.
